Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County - Shelburne Satellite Office
The Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County provides information, resources, education, support and counseling.
Staff and volunteers provide support programs, educational resources and referral services to ease the burden of care and improve the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. These include:
- Memory clinics for early detectionEducation and information sessions
- Support groups
- Private and family counselling
- First Link®, an innovative program that connects people who are newly diagnosed with local health professionals across Ontario.
- MedicAlert® Safely Home®, a nationwide program developed by the Alzheimer Society of Canada in partnership with the RCMP. It helps police find people with dementia who are missing.
