Central West Infant Hearing Program - ErinoakKids

For children 0-6 years old. This program provides hearing screening for all newborns who live in Dufferin, Halton, Peel, Waterloo and Wellington. The program identifies, as early as possible, those children who are deaf or hard of hearing, to provide them with professional care and their families with support as soon as possible. All parents will be offered a hearing screening for their newborn before they leave the hospital. If concerns arise about a child’s hearing after the newborn period (or if the baby was not screened at birth) they may be referred to us by their parents or by someone with written consent from the parents. To be eligible, the family must live in Dufferin, Halton, Peel, Waterloo or Wellington.
