Children's Mental Health - Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS)
Children's Mental Health provides counselling services, free of charge, to Dufferin children and youth 18 and under and their families. We work together to form a treatment partnership which builds on strengths and encourages the development of new skills for serious challenges. We establish goals together with plans that are flexible, respect individual diversity and cultural needs, and are provided in an accessible manner. We encourage linkages with other community supports and services to recognize and strengthen the family's resources.
Every Wednesay from 1:00 to 7:00pm, trained clinicians are available to meet with individuals or families at the Talk-In Clinic. No appointments are required. Forms are avaiable on the website. Serving children/youth ages 5 to 18 years. For children from 0 up to their 5th birthday, call DCAFS Central Intake: 519-941-1530.
