County of Dufferin Community Services - Ontario Works

Programs include: Ontario Works Financial Assistance - short term financial assistance; Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) - available to those who are in need of long-term financial assistance. Dufferin County Social Services can assist people who want to apply for ODSP. ODSP is a provincially funded program that assists individuals who are disabled, or elderly and not in receipt of Old Age Security pension; Discretionary Benefits - for those who are in receipt of financial assistance and have no other available resources. May assist extraordinary expenses such as dental and optical care, medications and surgical supplies; Child Care Fee Subsidy Program - to supplement licensed day nursery or private home day care costs and is offered to low-income families.
