Orangeville Public Library - Main Branch
Literacy for all ages is at the core of everything OPL does. The Library offers a variety of free programs to help foster a love of literacy and lifelong learning for all ages.
Library cards provide access to an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books and movies. The library also offers CVC, Ontario parks and Museum of Dufferin family passes, internet hotspots, Wonderbooks and launchpads.
Online services, available through our website, provide access to eBooks, audiobooks, streaming video and music, and databases for research and homework.
Our vision is that the library will be a place for everyone to connect and discover, where learning and possibility allow each member to soar.
Child Literacy
Orangeville Public Library offers Early Literacy Storytimes for ages five and under. Dates and times are available on the calendar on the library's website. Talking, singing, reading and playing are the key skills and a fun way to help your child get ready to read. Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read once they begin school, and helps to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning. No registration is required.
Teens
The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) meets monthly. Teens can earn community service hours for providing input to help shape library services and programs. The library also offers a monthly Teen Chronicles book club. Library cards provide access to an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books and movies. Online services, available through our website, provide access to eBooks, audiobooks, streaming video and music.
