YU Chat is a free service provided by Highlands Youth Unlimited a youth charity centred in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, serving local communities from Guelph to Huntsville, including Fergus, Grand Valley, Alliston, Collingwood, and Novar.
Our aim is to provide support and a listening ear to teenagers in the central Ontario region.
All YU Chat agents are screened and trained youth workers and youth volunteers, already serving in local communities with Youth Unlimited. Each staff is equipped to handle youth crisis situations, and can connect teens and families to local social services and mental health supports, as well as local youth programming.
While YU Chat is not a suicide line, we can and will connect suicide calls to local suicide crisis supports.
Call the toll free number or chat from the website.
Highlands Youth Unlimited is part of the global movement of Youth for Christ / Youth Unlimited in Canada and around the world.
